Children are an important part of our church life, and are welcome to participate in any of our services or take part in our Junior Church activities.
Our Junior Church meets at Elvet during the morning service each Sunday from 10.30 a.m.
At the moment we have about ten youngsters aged from 3 years and upwards, and three teachers plus additional helpers. Within Junior Church we use various ways to teach the children the Christian message of God’s love for them: these include story telling, drama, art, cooking, music and dance. The children also take part in some of our all age worship services – these usually involve music, drama, prayers or bible readings.
All of the teachers have a DBS check and play a large part in the nurturing of our children within our church.
The Crèche is available every Sunday morning from 10.20 am and is run by a small, willing and enthusiastic group of ladies on a rota basis.
The Crèche has a variety of toys, books, etc which will appeal to babies/toddlers up to the age of 3. This facility gives parents the opportunity to have peace of mind whilst they are in the service, knowing their child is being well cared for and happy in Crèche.
