We recognise that not everybody is able to put cash in the collection plate at Sunday services. If you would like to make a financial offering for the work of God in this place, we are also able to accept donations by standing order through your bank, or by cheque or card.
Download a Gift Aid form to print out, complete and return to us if you are a UK taxpayer to increase your contributions by 25%.
Contact the Treasurer for details of our bank account to set up a standing order with your bank, or to request offering envelopes to use at Sunday services.
Donate by credit or debit card using Stripe (note we have to pay processing fees on card donations).
To donate by cheque, please make your cheque payable to “Durham City Methodists” and send to the Treasurer c/o Elvet Methodist Church, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3HL.
Donate through your online shopping
Durham City Methodists is registered with two services, Easy Fundraising and Give as you Live, which collect donations for us while you shop with certain retailers. They work in very similar ways to claim a small donation from the retailer when you shop online. You may either install an app on your phone to use when shopping online, or install a browser plugin which prompts you to choose a charity donation when visiting participating retailers’ websites.

If you prefer to shop in person, Give as you Live also make it easy to purchase gift cards for popular shops which generate a donation for Durham City Methodists. You can then use the gift cards when you do your regular shopping trip.
